Arlene Cramer APRN-FNP, AHPCN

Arlene Cramer APRN-FNP, AHPCN a nurse practitioner at San Diego Hospice and the Institute for Palliative Medicine (SDHIPM). She is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner as well as an Advanced Practice Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse. She works closely with the interdisciplinary teams to provide care to home hospice patients. She also teaches at The Institute for Palliative Medicine.

Arlene received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from SUNY at Stony Brook and an MA in Nursing from New York University. She later returned to SUNY at Stony Brook and received a certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2000. Prior to working at SDHIPM she worked as assistant professor of nursing at Molloy College, Rockville Centre, NY teaching in both the undergraduate and the graduate divisions. She has also worked in various settings as a clinician as well as a manager including community health, hospice, education, acute care and long term care. She is a certified trainer for the End of Life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC) and a member of the nursing honor society Sigma Theta Tau.
