Ben Marcantonio, MEd, MS, MFT

Ben Marcantonio, M.Ed., MS, MFT is the Southern Regional Director at San Diego Hospice and The Institute for Palliative Medicine, a teaching affiliate of the University of California, San Diego, School of Medicine. Ben has worked in healthcare for more than fourteen years in acute care and outpatient behavioral health settings, providing leadership for program design, daily operations, physician relations and business development. Prior to his work in healthcare, Ben was the Superintendent of Catholic Schools for the Diocese of San Diego, responsible for 45 elementary and 5 high schools in San Diego and Imperial Counties. As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of California, Ben sees private clients and teaches in the Masters of Counseling program at University of Phoenix.

Ben earned his B.A. in Philosophy and M.Ed. from the University of San Diego, San Diego, California. He also studied theology at the Gregorian University, Rome, Italy receiving a S.T.B.  His M.S. degree in counseling was received from San Diego State University, San Diego, California.
