Dr. Kathy Ligon recently completed her Fellowship in Palliative Medicine at the San Diego Hospice and The Institute for Palliative Medicine, and joined the SDHIPM medical staff in July.  Prior to coming to San Diego, Dr. Ligon earned her BS in Biology from Central Michigan University and her medical degree from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine in Rootstown, Ohio. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Akron City Hospital, in Akron, Ohio. Kathy has also been a practicing Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist since 1998.
