As Director of the Center for Research at The Institute for Palliative Medicine at San Diego Hospice, Linda Lloyd leads the team responsible for :
- supporting the design and development of research studies undertaken by SDHIPM staff
- providing implementation support including data collection, analysis and evaluation reporting on SDHIPM research projects.
In addition, she is responsible for enhancing SDHIPM’s research capabilities including the development of research-based relationships locally, nationally and internationally.
Linda’s research background includes working as an evaluation consultant for The Rockefeller Foundation, Pan American Health Organization, and the World Health Organization. Linda has worked extensively with not-for profit organizations strengthening their evaluation capabilities as well as supporting public health initiatives internationally with a particular focus on Latin America.
Linda received her MPH and Dr. P.H. from the Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health in Baltimore, MD. She is presently Adjunct Faculty of the Graduate School of Public Health, San Diego State University, San Diego, California. She is member of the Editorial Board and a reviewer for the Journal of Immigrant and Minority Health, and a member of the WHO-TDR Research Reference Group on Dengue and Other Viral Diseases of Major Public Health Importance.
